Many XP users will appreciate the simplicity of this OS tweaking application, but some will miss testing disabled features in this demo. Tweaking Toolbox XP’s interface is a model in understatement. Simple pull-down lists quickly open tweak functions. Users choose functions in appropriate ways; menu speed is a slider, for example, while mouse sensitivity is a number set from a scrolling menu.
Not every option is available in the demo, but what is allowed works well. All functions are explained in an easy-to-read description window. We do wish the settings displayed the Windows XP defaults, but at least you can export settings in the registered version. If you don’t like a change, you can quickly import your saved settings. We appreciate that on first use the program immediately creates a system restore point.
Most tweaks adjust obvious XP functions and are immediately invoked. A few functions require a reboot to enable, but we always found changing settings quick and easy. Not every tweak will make sense to novice users, but most are explained well enough to warn them away. If you like to tweak your XPOS to make it fit your wishes, this program will go a long way toward easing and speeding the processes.

TreeSize Professional is a powerful and flexible harddisk space manager for Windows 200X/XP/Vista. Find out which folders are the largest on your drives and recover megabytes on your disks. TreeSize Professional shows you the size, allocated and wasted space, the number of files, 3D charts, the last access date, the file owner and permissions, the NTFS compression rate and much more information for several folders or drives you choose.
